Welcome to the Collins House Bed and Breakfast! This historic house, built in 1926, has been completely renovated, retaining the charm and character of a nearly 100 year-old house, but with all of the modern conveniences you expect.

Your comfort is our priority, so after a day of exploring, whether you choose to get cozy in front of the fireplace, play a board game, or curl up with a good book, the Collins House is the perfect place for some peace and quiet. Outside, you can also relax in the gazebo, or on the front porch, to catch the wonderful mountain breezes. And, in the morning, you can look forward to a delicious breakfast, which will include fresh fruit, freshly baked sweets, and a main course sure to start your day off right. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and freshly baked cookies are always available – day or night.
We are located on Marion’s Main Street, just a short walk from downtown, where you will find dining, shopping, and the historic Lincoln Theater, home to the PBS program “Song of the Mountains”. Hungry Mother State Park and the Back of the Dragon are less than five miles away, and other attractions, such as Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, and the Virginia Creeper Trail are only a short drive away. Come relax and unwind in the beautiful mountains of Virginia!

We have five guest rooms at the Collins House: one with 2 full-size beds on the first floor (the Ella); four rooms on the second floor: 3 queens (the George, the L.P., and the Nettie); and 1 king size room (the Mary). All have private en suite baths and antique furniture.

​We understand how important the cleanliness of our rooms and bedding is to you. We feel the same way, which is why all bedding is cleaned after each guest. That includes blankets, quilts, and pillow shams, in addition to the sheets, of course! We want you to have the best experience possible, and we know that part of that is having peace of mind.

Truly outstanding! The owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The entire place is spotless and cozy. The food was amazing. Will definitely be back. Had good parking in back for our motorcycles and easy walking access to the shops and restaurants in Marion. 3 minutes to stroll to pizza, sandwiches and drinks.

We recently stayed 3 nights at the B&B and enjoyed everything about it. By the end of our stay, the hosts felt like family to us. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay at the Collins House again!

I spent several enjoyable nights at Collins House B&B. The sheets were wonderful and the entire place was very clean and welcoming. I stayed in "The George" room with a cozy gas fireplace and reading chair. The large breakfasts were delicious and full of variety. There were also fresh cookies waiting daily. The hosts were eager to be helpful and go extra steps to make my stay top-notch.
